The Ghost Sands

The starkly white sediment of this region is all encompassing, known as a place where all perishes, be it flesh or stone.

Geography

The whole of the region is swallowed by the fine powder like sand, there is no known shift in the make-up of the sands. The region is contained by the mountains of the Wraith Spine to the north, the Spirit Dunes in the Barrens to the east, the waters of the Elder Deeps westward, and the ebon glass sands of the Obsidian Abyss to the south.

Roads and Landmarks

The Dead March. The path that crests through the bleed between the Ghost Sands and the Obsidian Abyss. Used only by the most desperate of travelers, once maintained by the forces of Duemonte, none now need pass.

Settlements

Recorded in histories are settlements that were built with even but a view into the Ghost Sands, none of the populace survived as the settlements were consumed by the sands.

Ruins and Subterrane

None dare venture within the region in order to survey what might remain for the past ages of the world. What lies beneath this region as it falls on the border between the impassable chasms of the Hated Sheer and the realm of the eldritch, the Buried Kingdom in the Depths, is a place unknowable and feared by all.
