The Endless Canopy

Brimming with life and the sacred spirits of nature, the jungles of Kyme are an impenetrable canopy that hide great secrets and danger.

Geography

The Gna'el River. The great river that cuts through the gloom of the jungle, at its breadth miles wide. Upon its banks many settlements thrive, both human and lycan.

The Spirit Wilds. A reserve of forest sealed away by the Circle of Ga, the sect of lycan druids, where the spirits of nature might move free from any planar influence, a true bastion of the Prime.

The Tangle Peaks. A range of mountains that run southward along the east of the region, wreathed in massive vines that even stretch between the summits creating natural bridges.

Roads and Landmarks

Circle of Thram. A great clearing in the Eastern reaches of the Endless Canopy, where it is said that one might come to be healed of any affliction, even curses of the soul.

The Godroot. The largest and most ancient of trees, revered by druids the world over as a source of precious wisdom should one prove worthy. The trunk of the tree near a mile in breadth, the branches stretch out far beyond, up to the skies. In the north central reaches of the region, many take pilgrimages to gaze upon its majesty.

The Pale Passage. The road along the edge of the Shadowed Passes. So named by the other inhabitants of the region as it is wholly controlled by Duemonte to maintain the line to Pallorport and the numerous keeps in the mountains.

Totemic Mounds. Hundreds of these geometric shaped mounds are seeded throughout the Endless Canopy. Some serve as sacred shrines, some indistinguishable from the landscape, perhaps even more are hidden or lost. None save the shamans of the Circle of Ga know what purpose they serve.

The Trees of Joining. The name given to the vast structures of trees that bridge the Gna'el River, joining the region. Druids are known to continually sow spells into the trees in order to sustain them, fearing they hold the sacred river upon its course. (Add river size)

Vurundi's Path. So named for the Lycan Archdruid Vurundi who lead her pack to endure the reign of the dragons in the Age of Fire. This once hidden trail through the jungle served to unite the packs against the dragon kin. Any who follow this path can still see the scars left by the dragons in trying to destroy it.

Settlements

Douali. A Kreon settlement at the northeastern edge of the Endless Canopy. Built atop a mesa, though unprotected from the winds of the Blastlands, they are able to endure the continual assaults from the Ended Fields of the Depths.

Jakar Dothm. The ruins of the eldritch where an awakened population has taken hold, yet none within the region are willing to aid them in repelling the attacks they face from within the city.

Kidalumjaro. A lycan city atop the highest of the Tanglepeaks along Vurundi's Path. Built over the ruins of a Dragon King, the wealth of the city a testament to the victory of the Lycan Pack in the Ashbreak Rebellion during the Age of Fire.

Kyros. A vibrant human city along the Gna'el river where the Rotmire gives way to the Endless Canopy. The society still centered around a powerful vampiric nobility that once subjugated the populace, but now have retreated to their grand estates.

Ssurvine. A lycan port village suspended upon a weave of vines from the trees over the Gna'el River. The lycan of the village serve as peerless guides to the river and will send daily offerings down river to Lake Waikandir in the Barrens.

Tsubuthi. The small lycan village within the western reaches of the Endless Canopy, known as those who harvest the world's most deadly of poisons.

Ruins and Subterrane

As above so below, when the powerful and wild nature of the Endless Canopy seeps into the Depths, the warped and vile subterranean jungle of the Ended Fields sprouts. None know what dark and alien roots took hold, but the dangers of the jungles above are nothing compared to the pure terror of those below.

Lah'kass Yat. Ancient humanity is thought to have constructed this city, now overtaken by the jungle, it serves only a monument along the Gna'el River.

Teotehua Vot. A ruin long lost in the westerlands of the Endless Canopy. None now dare venture near as it is said to enthrall those who gaze upon it.

Veno'gysha. The once crown palace of a Green Dragon Queen in the Endless Canopy, the ruin now swallowed by the jungle is dominated by a horde of simian creatures.
