Draconic

Secluded in the ten sovereignties of Kor'ak, each ancestry of the draconic people live in the ruins of the glory that was the Age of Fire. The Dragon Kings that once ruled the world over were cast down and hunted to their last by the rebellion of the races now some thousand years past. With each passing year the draconic claw their way back from the brink of extinction, but more was lost than their people. Since the Pact of Arkyme the draconic people have ordered themselves into vast sellsword companies. They seek to reclaim what was taken from their people and rediscover their history and heritage that remains scattered in ruins and vaults across the world. The ancestral clan guides each draconic as they step out into a world that was once theirs. The draconic people currently hold a seat on the Council of Arkyme.

Though unable to reclaim their ancestral homes that are now ruins in the lands of others, the draconic still endeavor to recapture relics and the precious destroyed cultural history of their people.

Ancestral Atrocities

Dragons. Beings of ascendant power that emerged from the elemental planes and formed alongside other dragonkin, including the humanoid draconic. When the flooding madness of the Eldritch Realms ruled over the world, the dragonkin stood strong. Yet, as Kyme's people rose up to drive back the eldritch into the deeps, the dragons and draconic having paid in blood exacted what they willed from Kyme's peoples. And so began the Age of Fire. For some twenty-thousand years the dragons ruled with the draconic. Shaping the world in their image, the draconic tongue is the basis of the common language, and many cultural mores are based in draconic elements. Though the despotism of the Dragon Kings was not to last. The dragons were hunted to their last and the draconic were slaughtered till only enclaves survived. Driven across the world to the sovereignties of Kor'ak, pillaged and repressed the draconic had fallen far from their once proud status. The draconic now live with this history, and deep and ancient grudges are still held by many clans who worship their dragon ancestors that are no more.
