Secret Orders of Kyme

Shadowed Path Cults

The Ninth Legion

The Ninth Legion is the name given to the cultic armies and heinous cadres of Malceth's Archdevils' adherents. These infernal cults are positioned throughout the world, from the most lofty of cities like that of the Silver Pit in Synstasia's Undercroft, or to mountain fortresses where they build armies to reign terror upon settlements. Each Archdevil has their domain and methods of leading souls to corruption. Where cultists of the Archdevil Vellond who rules over the Seventh Circle in the Hells seek to create infernal armies upon the Prime, and take lives in his name. One would see idolaters of the Archdevil Vulvenus of the Second Circle in the Hells create a brothel of infernal delights in a city, where those taken in by this vice would be led on the path to damnation by a lover that asks they kill their spouse to prove their affections.

With each iteration of the Ninth Legion taking hold, murder and misery is soon to come to pass.

Daemoncabal

In chaos does the Daemoncabal of Xzana spread. Drawn by hate, madness, or apathy, the cultists of the Slug Mother and her Chosen Spawn gather only when a discordant whim or will for mayhem binds them together to sow demonic chaos and corruption. The demonic cults are myriad in their incarnations and machinations, often forming sects devoted to powerful demons known as Chosen Spawn. A Daemoncabal of Puubex might manifest from a group of slothful youths that first delight in wanton destruction, but soon a violent surge fueled by demon essence will engulf whole settlements in orgiastic violence. As would be seen with fanatics in a Daemoncabal of Inzeka, they will commune in the fetid wilds to foster swarms of demonic pests and create the demonic drug, Xzana's Milk.

The very nature of the Daemoncabal is chaos and their methods and ends are unfathomable, yet instances of the Daemoncabal are often short-lived.

Ranks

.There are no ranks known within the Daemoncabal, only a recognition of chaotic power that would grant a leader authority.

The Fevering

Perhaps the most reviled and insidious of the cults of the Shadowed Path, members of the Fevering in their devotion to Plagus and his Afflicted are roving bearers of pestilence and madness. Cults of Plagus are usually devoted to a specific disease and seek to make it ever more mutated and virulent, so they might unleash it upon peoples and share the "blessings of their Fever King." Whether Phobos Corax being parlayed by some lone mad follower or a grouping in the sewers of Arkyme that would seek to unleash the Spire Plague upon the populace. The Fevering is marked by its mad and diseased adherents that rejoice in their sickening gifts.

Woesworn

The Woesworn is the name ascribed to secretive cabals formed by daeva of Sakorith as they seek to scheme and deceive in order to ensnare souls meant for other planes. True of any Woesworn cultist is they would carry out all forms of deceptions and performance to achieve their ends. A Woesworn faithful would take on years of strife undercover in order to bring one soul falsely to damnation. Yet many Woesworn cultists know not they have fallen to Sakorith's fiends, for the deception of a daeva is subtle and malicious. Many a daeva or mortal Woesworn will appear in the guise of a divine messenger, prophet, or seer and provide guidance and dogma for those in desperation. All the while the unwitting victims are made into Woesworn themselves, so deep in deception and conspiracy that they have no hope of escape from the illusions and delusions until they pass unto Anguicall.

The Graven

The sects of the Graven divide along lines of the chosen forms of undeath. The prolific power of necromancy make many undead servants of Draumah, but not all necromancers and seekers of undeath's power are of the Graven. The Graven are those that worship the Eight Undying Princes that inhabit the Silent Terror of the Tombs, the plane of undeath. The Graven seek to ascend in their forms of undeath and supplant other forms, though alliances or domination of multiple types of undead can occur within the cults. A sect of the Graven that seeks to harness the ethereal spirit and form hauntings to torture the living worship Etheraeth the Phantom Empress, she who reigns over wraiths, specters, ghosts, and geists. More insidious, a sect that worships Arkhoul the Rotskinner he that reigns over, ghasts, ghouls and zombies, will impersonate caretakers of the dead so they might feast upon remains without regard. While unrealized in the world the Unliving Sect of the vampires is in truth, of the Graven at the height of its power. Each passing day they seduce more and more to embrace the Sanguine Gift of Dravdin Nosferaht the First Fang and the Unliving Emperor. The creeping tyranny of undeath is what makes the Graven so potent a force and difficult to recognize until it is too late.

The Lighted Templars

Going to the extremes of their faith in executing vampires, divifiends, revenants and geist, or any that they deem as a threat to their beliefs. Since the Pact of the Races took hold Arkyme has fought this order again and again as they commit atrocities in the name of the Lighted Path. The Passing

Formed as a secret belief among the "bloodbonded" slaves of Duemonte as the War of Extinction raged. Born of nihilistic impulse, as the gods for all their power had forsaken them, Lighted and Shadowed alike. An old woman known as Mother Null had known only life in the hands of the vampires, fed upon until she herself was nothing. In this she came to understand the destruction of her own soul, and heard the call of the Void. She came to seek those she could devote to the Void, the absence of matter, magic, and even the power of gods themselves. Sharing the secret of how to empty themselves to walk upon the Ethereal Plane and invoke the Void. Coming to be known as the Passing as they sought to not only kill the servants of the profane and divine, but obliterate their chosen so no god could turn that soul again to their ends.

Those devoted to the Void, members of the Passing still walk the world killing those that the essence of Mother Null guides them to, as her will to sever the divine is never ceasing. Whispers of indiscriminate ethereal assassins pervade and tellings of coins of mysterious ethereal metal that guide their bearers to Mother Null.

The Scribe's Eye

Born from the mind of some sagacious entity in the Age of Air, the first consciousness to gather other minds to theirs. Bonded by magic more and more minds mingled in this collective mental emergence. The wish of these many minds is that none need be alone, and that one day nothing will be lost to death. This collective entity that joined minds began to be called "The Scribe" and the connected minds served as its eyes. The collective scorns the secrets of those that seek to keep minds in bondage.
