The pure headwaters of the rivers and all its tributaries begin with the Rimefloe Glacier in the Eldercrown Mountains of the north as they pass southward to join the elemental waters of the Divide.
The Ryme River. An icy flow from the frozen north of the Rimehold, the headwaters of the river are fed by the Rimefloe Glacier. The river is navigable with many crossings and settlements upon its banks, stretching two to five miles in breadth along its passage southward until it bifurcates at the mountains of the Citadels.
The Norspyr River. The eastern river off the Ryme that flows southward to the deltas that hold the vast Eldritch ruins of Ashynnagoggha and on to the Water Divide. The waters spanning a mile to three miles are pervaded by gray mists that course down from the peaks of the Citadels.
The Dregsys River. The westerly coursing river off the Ryme where it meets the Mephitic Morass, the river then turns to a blighted estuary that runs on into the razor cliffs of the Ebonkarst, ending in the lake of the Mirkmere.
The Colossus Moorings. Rising forth out the river's waters between the Aurous Plains and the Everblades, this massive naturally formed colonnade divides the river for miles. The formation acts as a haven for ships who wish to avoid the scrutiny of any true port along the river.
Solfare Isle. Off the western shore of the Ryme River near the Diluvian Heights lies a rocky crag that is home to a noble house, once a Synstasian power, they chose to deal with diabolical power and now their bloodline is one of Divifiends. Still influential and financial masterminds they are fiercely independent and their keep serves as a port of exchange.
Twelvestone. A large dwarven and human town built upon a bridge that spans over the Ryme River just south of the Forged Run. Acting as a great crossing from the Aurous Plains to the Vespered Timberlands, it is said the stones of the bridge were first lain by the dragons before the Age of Fire.
The Northern Rivers course over and across many terrains of the Depths there are numerous underwater caverns that lead into the world beneath, from the ice-locked ones of the Hiemal to the roaring torrents where the river spills into the Blight Sea. The rivers has drawn to its banks all the races, though now the river is haunted by the vestiges of the War of Extinction, the landscape bearing the scars of battles long past.
