Divifiend

Dispersed across Kyme the Divifiend are a people marked by their fiendish lineage. Loosed upon the prime plane in the form of accursed children bore by demonic cultists or birthed from a deal with a diabolical entity, the divifiend bear the heritage of the foul beings of the lower planes. Contending with the aspects of their fiendish bloodline, divifiend are often shunned or repress their profane power. This fierce self-reliance has driven them to owe no allegiances, yet many a divifiend has fallen to the malediction of that which spawned them. The divifiend have not been granted a seat on the Council of Arkyme.

Inferna Divifiend

Souls wrought by the Hells, these divifiends are formed and shaped by a devil's influence. An infernal pact made in passing desperation can forever bind a lineage of inferna divifiends. Many divifiend reflect in their appearance the Circle of the Hells that led to their birth. A divifiend tied to the Fourth Circle of Greed may have golden skin or gilded horns, whereas a divifiend induced by the Seventh Circle of Violence might have blood red blade-like teeth and metallic spines on their tail. The pact grants you a mote of the creature's vital essence. You gain a number of the creature's hit dice equal to half your proficiency bonus (rounded down). You can add these dice to any attack roll, ability check or saving throw you make before completing a long rest.

Anguica Divifiend

The ill favor of a daeva is all at once the bestowing of surreal fortune, then a deathly spiral none could have foreseen. The fiends of Anguicall use illusion and delusion to sow their woeful schemes on the prime, and it is under these auspices that the anguica divifiend are brought into being. A daeva in the likeness of a wandering priest might offer blessings to any with child, only to have months later that child born as a divifiend. Anguica divifiend are oft ornate in their fiendish attributes. Horns that flow together over their heads. Skin as if it were woven from silk. Multiple tails that fan across their back hypnotically so. Anguica divifiend approach their existence with the understanding that perhaps each choice they make is but one more illusory trap set by that which spawned them.

Desirous Insight - If you spend 1 minute observing a creature within 15 feet of you, you can make a Wisdom (Insight) check versus their Charisma (Deception) check. On a success you learn a fact or secret about the target through your fiendish magic. A creature that is immune to being charmed wins the contested check. You can't use this trait again until you complete a short or long rest.

Abyritha Divifiend

Unleashed upon the prime by the essence of chaos that is a demon, the abyrith divifiend are made to languish or delight in their fiendish spirit. Devoid of anything resembling purpose, demonic manipulations and intrusions is what yield the abyrith divifiend. Perhaps the mere maddening gaze into the plane of Abyrith is enough to generate a lineage under demonic influence. Or a man pricking his finger upon a dead demon's horn may one day bring forth a divifiend offspring. An abyrith divifiend's presentation of their demonic features is wildly divergent. The crown of the head twisted with splintering horns. Compounding pupils that change number with each blink. Sets of forked tongues or chewing mandibles for a mouth. Chaos reigns in the lives of many an abyrith divifiend and their impulses lead them where they wish across the world.

Demonic Wrath - When you are hit by an attack that targets you, as a reaction you can make a weapon attack against that creature or cast a spell. The spell must have a casting time of 1 action and must target only that creature. Once you use this trait you can't use it again until you complete a long rest.

Cursed Offering

A divifiend, whether reared in the loving home of a divifiend family stretching back for generations. Or born unto parents who know not how such a child came unto them. One thing remains true-divifiend must bear this cursed offering given them. Each divifiend struggles against the mistrusting looks and the threat of judgement not for who they are, but what other think them to be. The Lower Planes. The realm of Malceth, the goddess of Murder and Treachery, queen of devils. The realm of Xzana the goddess of Disorder and Sloth and spawner of demons. The realm of Sakorith the god of Deception and Misfortune and begetter of daeva. Each of these fell entities and their legion of profane servants create the divifiend. Yet for all this, each divifiend walks their own path on the prime. Whether it be embracing the Shadowed Path or finding their own, this is the life each divifiend has been offered.

Fell Fated

By blood a divifiend is touched by the malevolence of the Lower Planes, but their fate remains to known. The divifiend have no homeland and exist on the fringes of Kyme's civilizations, so commonly cast aside by their parents for fear of what peril rearing them might bring. Treated as a pariah, it was not until the Pact of Arkyme did the divifiend gain standing to exist unreservedly in societies. Divifiend born in the north of Kyme experience the repressive rule by priests of the Holy Orders of Synstasia, met with equal parts pity and scorn. In the south a divifiend, still must contend with the dominance of the vampires and dark elves who find a divifiend's heritage still suspect. This reality has made the divifiend resilient and individualistic to the utmost, making their own way in the world. Still, divifiend are preyed upon by their kin to engage with cultic elements: devils, daeva, demons and their followers seeking to exploit the divifiend for their own desires in the guise of unity.
