The Unwavering Shore

A maritime climate along the Water Divide has allowed the coast to flourish, numerous ports and cities lie at the water's edge. Yet the violent storms of the Divide always threaten to tear away at the peoples, human and water eleman alike, along the shore.

Geography

The Escutcheon Ridges. At the western border where the coast begins to meet the deltas of the ruins of Ashynnagoggha, these cliffs rise above creating a bulwark of the lowlands at the end of the Norspyr River.

The Heirbrush. The arid scrublands that trace along the north of the region where the wealth of herbalistic grasses and shrubs are harvested and sold.

The Windtor. The eastern reaches of the share as it nears the Air Divide, the rocky hills torn by the gales lie bleak and barren.

Roads and Landmarks

The Ameridean Road. Tracing east and west along the coast, this road ties together all the settlements and ports across the region.

The Death Strand. Off the easterly coasts of the region lie countless bodies of marine life, heaped upon one another in a continually numbing call to die along these shallows.

Lighthouse of Aleksander. Constructed at the beginning of the War of Extinction, the lighthouse lies at the center of the coast. Over a thousand feet in height, the brilliant white light atop it consumes pounds of precious gemstone dust each day in order to sustain the arcane power, yet acts as a beacon for countless ships guiding them to safety.

The Litorus Road. Out of Athent this prime roadway leads onto Aleksanderport in the heart of the region. Countless travelers pass along the road, but the Praetori of Achonus, the holy military order of Synstasia has so many outposts to extract the Tithe, most try to avoid it.

The Wanderest. Diverging from the Path of Dilig southward, the road leads on to the coast through the Aurous Plains ending in the city of respite Syrna.

Settlements

Aleksanderport. The vast militarized port city of the Praetori of Achonus, the Lighthouse of Aleksander a brilliant beacon at its heart. The center of the holy orders of Synstasia's naval power, in the years since peace has taken hold, most warships have been given over to mercantile purposes.

Artatian. On the outermost edge of a peninsula, the walls of this town rise high above the shore, shielding this settlement from the tempests that tear in from the Water Divide.

Cuulp. A small village of water eleman, their homes scavenged from the sea and built amongst the tide pools where they watch over the Water Divide.

Hastenport. A naval port of Synstasia along the western coast of the region. Many tell of the town's shipwrights creating the fastest ship seen the world over.

Phelito. Far east of Aleksanderport, this town is home to both humans and the water eleman. Rumors abound in the region of an "oracle of the sea" that is told the secrets of the deep.

Spyrport. The necessary port at the end of the Norspyr Canal through the eldritch ruin of Ashynnagoggha. Primarily acting as a military depot, sending most every ship on to Syrna, so as not to tarry among the fell presence of the ruins.

Syrna. A large city of respite where the Synstasian nobility take holidays, enjoying the Season of Earth and Air in the pleasant climate of this region. Though not a frivolous city, it serves as the western command for the militant order of the Praetori of Achonus. The city also has a dark history in that during the War of Extinction, the whole populace, over twenty-thousand souls were taken in an event known as the Reaving. They were then sent on a death march south, ending in the Sepulcher in Duemonte, the palace of the Unliving Emperor.

Thalanti. A grand village of the water eleman built atop and within the sea cliffs on the easterly edges of the region. Thriving on the wealth of the sea, the gifts of the water eleman to master the waters cause many to seek them out for their knowledge and intuition.

Ruins and Subterrane

Beneath the Unwavering Shore lies the expanse of the Blight Sea. Where the Water Divide meets with the continental shelf of the shore, countless currents and riptides might breach into the Depths. A place of terror, known as the Osquadingen, or the Water's Maw creates the border between these oceans, said to have a malign will of its own none wish to gaze upon it.

The ruins of the eldritch have a profound presence along the Unwavering Shore, even the divine power of Synstasia unable to destroy the aberrant corruption and terrible reminder of things beyond.

Ashynnagoggha. Seated upon the silten shores of the Norspyr River delta lies an eldritch ruin complex of remarkable size. The ruins spread across near a hundred miles of the delta, as none, not even the fire of the dragons, have been able to destroy the ruins. The tooth-like stone even when obliterated will again sprout forth from the silt filled waters, slowly regrowing the ruin. Synstasia has established a shielded canal through the east of the ruins, where palisades of the Praetori of Achonus ensure the safety of travelers along the Norspyr.

Since the awakening of the eldritch at the end of the War of Extinction, more and more have taken up residence within the ruin under the military occupation of Synstasia. Arkyme has intervened and works to bring an understanding between these peoples.

Dyoviihgal. A draconic ruin in the westerlands now sunken along the coast. Once the brilliant palace adorned in abalone of a Bronze Dragon King, the draconic here quickly fell as the humans boiled the ocean, killing any within the lair.

Ikyztogh. Just off the coast like a dark mark in the ocean, seen from above the waters are told to morph and warp around this eldritch ruin.

K'helpt'itrorzuggyl. Within a hidden lagoon along the far reaches of the eastern shores, this eldritch ruin is said to harbor mind-eating eldritch whose living vessels will mire the mind.
