The Ora

A vast scar across the world, the fissure thousands of miles wide, none know truly how it formed. Believed to be where the dreadful servants of the Elder Ones retreated in the Age of Water, to await the maddening call once more.

Geography

The immensity of the chasm is such that it creates a transection of the regions within the Depths of the world, yet none know how deep the rift runs, believing it may even open to the heart of Kyme.

The Putrid Roosts. Where the fetid waste of the Ended Fields spills forth into the Ora massive flocks of winged horrors gather to prey upon any that venture too close.

The Wounded Portals. The innumerable tears upon the southern face of the chasm, thought to be where the dragons would rend the stone to strike at the Eldritch Realm within the Buried Kingdom.

Roads and Landmarks

The Schism Trace. Running along the southern edges of the chasm, the road leads from the highlands of the Wraith Spine to the savannahs of the Barrens.

The Trial of the Void. Jutting forth out over the bottomless chasm, this escarpment has become marked by those who seek to place a token or mark upon it, risking a fall into oblivion.

Settlements

Officium Orath. An Officium of the Arkyme built out over the Ora upon its southwestern edge. The members of Arkyme implementing an adamantum caged lift, allowing those who can withstand the malady of ascension to return from the Depths.

Ruins and Subterrane

As a transection of the Depths the Ora cuts through to the crystalline caves of the Cluster, the warped jungle of the Ended Fields, the hopeless chasms of the Hated Sheer, and the unfathomable ruin that is the Buried Kingdom. Yet what truly lies within the Depths of the Ora none have borne witness to or having divined in any measure.

The Sculpted Shrine. The remnants of a temple complex seemingly carved into the edge of the chasm, none have yet to understand how this came to pass or the exact purpose of such detailed replication.
