A great day here weatherwise with the big yellow fireball putting in an extended appearance. Whilst the missus was knocking up a cracking Valentine's day full english breakfast, a male Marsh Harrier cruised north high up, possibly attributed to dispersing broadland roost birds? (Usually get the males early on along the ridge) After breakfast dog walk took me down the lane where I had my first Northrepps Little Egret, feeding in the brook viewed from the road an excellent close to home bird, just a pity it wasn't even closer! Also noted today were Barn Owl, two Sparrowhawk heading steadily north-east (not displaying) and up to 3 Common Buzzard.
