Stepped out the back door this morning just in time to see a dozen or so Crossbill go chipping north through the village fairly low village . Mothing last night produced pretty much more of the same with the notable addition of a nice Oak Eggar. Went for a stroll locally, managed to get good, albeit distant views of White-letter Hairstreak, Essex Skipper and a patrolling Hobby.
