Still Here

Have somewhat kicked back into summer recess at the moment, what with a decidedly unimpressive football tournament going on and supermarkets selling beer cheap! Had first signs of return migration (!) last Sunday (30th) with 4 Curlew going NW over garden and Tufted Duck (2) seen also on the following day. Had a few moths but nothing outstanding. Also had a look at a couple more sites on the square to consider for the big fall in September, have to wait and see if we can deliver in the autumn. Talking of sites, Gunton Park has now unfortunately closed its gates to the public, due to a spate of thefts it is now only accessible to residents (obviously!) living on the park grounds and the private fishing club that has now been set up. Pity.

Not quite what I had envisaged when planting for wildlife!
