As autumn marches on I begin to loathe this time of year. Mornings get later, evenings get longer, the birding gets better, and I get snowed under with work! However arriving home this evening the garden eventually scored after being virtually birdless as along with 50 or so Starling, and half a dozen Redwing, a fine icey looking Ring Ouzel sat in our dead elder tree for quite sometime before disappearing into the hedgerows. I got ridiculously excited about this, a bird I've seen and found often before, I put it down too relief more than anything, that I thought this garden may produce the odd good bird or two, and I hadn't had a sniff of anything-at all - so far!
