Early evening yesterday we had our 4th Red Kite of the spring hanging about, showing to the west of the village. It was a fairly distinctive bird, moulting its inner primaries and looking fairly tatty. It was quite easy therefore to identify it as the same bird this morning as it messed about east of the garden before finally heading off east, subsequently being seen at Trimmers and Mundesley. During the rest of the day it was pretty quite with Willow Warbler, Blackcap, Whitethroat and Lesser Whitethroat within the vicinity of the garden, and Common Swift (FOTS) now joining Alpine Swift on the TG list! Late afternoon a wander east of the village found a nice flock of 7 flavissima Yellow Wagtail.
