After what seems like an age of waking up to this every morning.....

...this morning finally saw a change in wind direction and paid immediate dividends with Marsh Harrier 3 west, Red Kite 1 NW at 1100 and then shortly after 5 Common Crane directly over the garden extremely high and lost from view just as quickly. Around tea time to a walk out east, but the only migrant was a male Whinchat up at the nursery.
