Summer's Here!

High summer has finally got here with a vengeance! Locally a Hobby has been making regular forays over the village undoubtedly looking for some young hirundines for tea, and the first of the Lapwings have been noted returning moving west. Plenty of moths about now, nothing out of the ordinary yet but we keep looking. Had my first Bee Orchid ever locally, which I found by chance which I was well chuffed with. Also within the square I located a Gadwall with 3 ducklings this week which is a great breeding record. Got the moth trap on tonight, this weekend will surely see moth traps wedged with leps up and down the country.
