So here we go then, new home, new birding patch and new format!!! Hope this slightly more advanced site works OK, will give it a go for a while to see how we get on, if not its back to trusty blog! So I'm now stuck out in North-East Norfolk, just a mile from the coast line on the edge of the rural village of Northrepps. Similar in someways to our last place, we have an agricultural field behind and to one side of our garden, with a lovely mature garden on the other. Rather than being along the Holt-Cromer Ride, Northrepps sits at the very eastern end as the ridge rises up from Overstrand, From my point of view the major plus of this place is that most of the doors and windows face out toward the back garden, which is fairly open, with lots of sky. Great! I think the rest of the autumn and the winter will probably be a right-off as far as all birding is concerned, I've got a fair few projects to complete before the spring gets here and i can start enjoying the place! that said there's still a four legged friend that requires walking (although not quite so far now, poor old girl!) and I'm sure garden improvements will shoot up on the list of priorities when the weathers right!!
