A short seawatch at Mundesley from 0900-1040 found a few wildfowl trickling west and distant Gannets and a couple of distant skua's east, but it was very much 'after the lord mayors parade' based on reports from yesterday. Highlights were a single Sooty Shearwater W and an Arctic Tern. A circuit around Trimingham produced a Chiffchaff, 2 Whitethroat and 2 Lapland Bunting. Calling in on Sidestrand on the way home, I got out of the car and immediately heard the 'sveeep' of what was surely a Yellow-browed Warbler. Unfortunately with the traffic, a howling wind, and a disappearing tit flock, I could not locate the little bugger. This fringe birding marlarky is hard enough without sites 20 miles or so away constantly turning up good, really good, birds- just one down this end would be great, as long as I find it!
