Pictured above is a two room log cabin sits on Moira Street in the central downtown area of Belleville, a stark contrast to the twentieth century commercial structures elsewhere on the street. Originally built in Haley’s Station in the Ottawa River valley in 1873, its simple style is reminiscent of the early nineteenth century homes found on the first pioneer farms of this province.
