We saw the Jaboticaba tree below at Butterflyworld. It is also known as Brazilian Grape, and can be grown in south Florida. The fruit can be eaten fresh or made into jelly, juice, and wine. This unusual tropical tree bears flowers and fruit directly from the trunk. More info is at:
