We enjoyed our visit to a goat dairy farm in Pescadero. The happy goats live the good life eating fresh greens and giving milk for making cheese. Each goat produces a gallon of milk per day, which makes 1 pound of cheese. The 220 goats are guarded by a llama.
The cheese for sale was wrapped beautifully - it came in little rounds decorated with edible flowers from the farm's garden. The goat cheese is mild and delicious! Here is a link to the farm's website describing the goats, cheese, and recipes:
