Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park (in central Florida) contains Florida’s largest dry prairie. The 54,000 acre preserve is home to numerous endangered plants and animals. The prairie has more species of plants per acre than anywhere else in the United States, and its 79-species butterfly list is the longest in Florida! Grassland vistas stretch to the horizon, and the night sky is spectacular for stargazing.
