The new seahorse exhibit at the Monterey Bay Aquarium is spectacular! Over 15 species of seahorse are on exhibit - one of the nation's largest collections. Seahorses have heads like horses, tails like monkeys, and pouches like kangaroos. The male seahorse puts eggs in his pouch. After the eggs hatch, the babies stay in the pouch until they are big enough to swim away. The picture below shows the leafy sea dragon. Everything in the picture is seahorse, not seaweed!
