Solvang (which means “sunny fields”) is located north of Santa Barbara. The town is a replica of a Danish village, and is celebrating its 100th birthday this year. The top two crops in the area are wine grapes and strawberries. Several windmills decorate the village, and replica stork nests are on roof tops for good luck.
