We got lucky and saw the Tule Elk at Tomales Point at Point Reyes National Seashore. First we saw the Tule Elk in the fog, and then we saw them running up a hill. Tule Elk are one of the smallest elk species in North America. Just over 30 years ago there were only 10 Tule Elk at Point Reyes; now there are over 500 grazing by the ocean.
