1 oz chocolate (semisweet or unsweetened)
1/2 C sugar
2 C milk (separated)
1/8 tsp salt
3 Tb. cornstarch
1 tsp vanilla
Heat chocolate, 1 3/4 C milk, sugar, and salt in a medium sauce pan over medium heat until it reaches boiling point stirring constantly.
Dissolve cornstarch in remaining 1/4 C cold milk.
Stir in cornstarch slowly into the hot milk mixture. Simmer for 1 min. (it with be thick and bubbly).
Remove from heat and add vanilla. Pour into serving bowls and serve with milk or cream. We love to eat it warm!
