Butterfinger Maple Bars

What you need:

For the icing:

    • 1/3 cup unsalted butter
    • 1 cup brown sugar
    • 1/4 cup milk
    • 2 cups powdered sugar
    • 1 Tbsp. maple extract
    • 1/8 tsp. salt

For the donuts:

    • 1 tube refrigerated biscuits
    • Vegetable oil for frying

For the topping:

    • 4 full-size Butterfinger candy bars, chopped
    • 2 squares Candiquik

Directions:

    1. For the icing: Melt butter, brown sugar, and milk in a saucepan over medium-high heat.
    2. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cook while stirring for 3 minutes.
    3. Remove from heat and let cool.
    4. While icing cools, heat vegetable oil to 350 degrees.
    5. Stretch biscuits gently into logs.
    6. Fry a few logs at a time until golden brown on each side. Remove to a wire rack with a paper towel underneath it.
    7. After the 15 minutes has passed, add powdered sugar, salt, and maple extract to saucepan and whisk until smooth.
    8. Dip each donut into icing or pour icing on each.
    9. Melt Candiquik squares in microwave until smooth.
    10. Drizzle over the top of the donuts. Immediately sprinkle chopped Butterfingers on top. Gently press in, if needed.
