Taco Burgers

What you need:

    • 2 lb. ground beef
    • 7 oz. can green chillies, drained
    • 1 1/2 Tbsp. taco seasoning
    • 2 Tbsp. finely diced yellow onion
    • 1/4 cup sour cream
    • 1/4 cup taco sauce
    • 2 Tbsp. salsa
    • 6 slices pepper jack cheese
    • 6 hamburger buns
    • 1/2 cup shredded lettuce or 6 lettuce leaves
    • 2 roma tomatoes
    • Avocado wedges, if desired

Directions:

    1. Mix together ground beef, chillies, taco seasoning, and onions.
    2. Form into 6 patties with an indent in the middle to help with more even cooking.
    3. Mix together sour cream, taco sauce, and salsa and refrigerate until serving time.
    4. Grill burgers or cook in a skillet until done. Add cheese right before the burgers are ready so it can start to melt.
    5. Place burger on a bun and top with lettuce, tomato, and avocado.
    6. Drizzle with sauce and top with top bun.
