I just finished a training on 'How to facilitate Empathy Circles?'. I was a part of Cohort 2 which consisted of 4 sessions over two weeks.
What I really enjoyed was a structured process. My 'Aha' moment is the discovery of the need for having a structure (processes/boundaries) to balance between presence and holding space for everyone. Something, I am learning to appreciate.
So the program is structured with a lot of time spent on practice and real-time facilitation. Edwin Rutsch, Bill and Lou are seasoned facilitators and are super kind in sharing their time, energy, and years of experience of hosting such circles.
I would highly recommend it to friends who are interested in starting their own Empathy Circles or want to explore picking up some new skills to continue hosting their Empathy Circles.
