Different Icebreakers I might use on the first day

Passing the Ball

-We will start class by getting to know each other. I will pass a ball around the room. When you catch the ball you need to tell us your name and a fact about yourself. Then you throw the ball to someone else in the room. The same person can catch the ball more than once but they will have to repeat their name and come up with a new fact about themselves. After we have completed a few rounds then you need to throw the ball to someone and say their name and a fact about them. We will continue this stage until each person has been introduced.
