Carla Abellana, Solenn Heussaff amp up simultaneous GMA Pinoy TV events in US, Canada
Following the successful Philippine Independence Day celebrations, GMA Pinoy TV is once again bringing Kapuso stars Carla Abellana and Solenn Heussaff to various parts of USA and Canada as they respectively headline simultaneous festivities that the Kapuso abroad should not miss.
Carla Abellana flies to Florida and Texas
Kapuso actress Carla Abellana is heading to the US as she banners AZ Media Entertainment’s back-to-back Fiesta Ko Sa Florida on September 1 and Fiesta Ko Sa Texas on September 2. The fun-filled events will showcase everything Filipino through cultural performances, contests, vendor booths and exhibits from local businesses, as well as a raffle draw. Highlighting each event will be Carla’s special performance followed by a meet-and-greet portion with the Kapuso abroad.
Fiesta Ko Sa Florida, which is set to happen at the Florida Horse Park County Road in Ocala, is co-organized by One Philippines News Magazine, JM Cargo, in cooperation with the Filipino-American Association in Ocala. On the other hand, Fiesta Ko Sa Texas will be held at the Bayou City Event Center, Knight Road in Houston. Both events are also made possible through the exclusive media sponsorship of GMA Pinoy TV and partner carrier DISH Network.

Solenn Heussaff returns to Canada jam-packed with surprises
Set to cap off the Philippines’ National Language Month, Solenn Heussaff will grace the ‘Wika at Kulturang Pinoy Festival’ on August 30 at the Thorncliffe Community Center, Calgary in Alberta, Canada. The whole day event, organized by the Pinoy Times Entertainment, aims to unite the Filipino community via an OPM singing contest, Paligsahan sa Pagbabaybay, Timpalak sa Balagtasan, Filipiniana dance competition, and an English to Filipino translation match.
The festivities will continue in Winnipeg on September 1 as Solenn spices up LUCOMM (LU Communications)’s event dubbed ‘Food Trip: A Taste of Home, Year 3!’ at the Tyndall Park Community Center. Solenn, who also hosts the GMA News TV lifestyle show Taste Buddies, will join the two-day festival of Pinoy recipes which will surely bring one’s palate down the memory lane through various food stalls, cook-offs and an eating challenge.
Solenn will conclude her Canadian tour in Vancouver at the ‘Taiwan Fest Fete with the Philippines 2018’on September 2. Slated to happen at the Vancouver Art Gallery Plaza, the multi-faceted ‘It Girl’ will strut her stuff in a fashion show by Taiwan-based Filipino designer Mario Subeldia. The Taiwan Fest is organized by the United Filipino Canadian Associations of British Columbia (UFCABC) and is the largest English/Mandarin bilingual cultural festival in Canada which co-presents a different Asian Culture each year.

Solenn Heussaff counts down the days to her big day
With barely a month before her wedding, Kapuso star Solenn Heussaff is as anxious as she is excited for the big day.
She is set to marry her long-time boyfriend, Nico Bolzico, an Argentinian businessman, in a rustic-themed ceremony in France.
“I’m just a bit stressed in a way that it’s abroad, so I know I’m going to have to do a lot of last minute things there,” shares the French-Filipina actress.
A woman of many parts, Solenn admits to feeling quite stressed as she’ll be flying to France only three days before the wedding. “But I’m also excited to see my friends, who are coming from all over the world that I really keep dear to my heart,” she says.
In a previous interview, the Taste Buddies host revealed that apart from her civil status changing, her plans for her showbiz career will stay the same.
She will be playing the role of Kassiopea in the much-awaited Encantadia requel, which will air in the second of the year on GMA’s flagship international channel GMA Pinoy TV. (30)
Solenn Heussaff flies to Israel for dream wedding dress
When you find the right man, the next thing to do is to find the right dress.
And that’s exactly what Kapuso star Solenn Heussaff did as she recently flew to Tel Aviv, Israel to get her custom-made wedding dress from Lihi Hod Studio.
The French-Filipina actress and host will marry Argentine businessman Nico Bolzico in France later this year.
Solenn shared details on her Instagram account as she posted a photo of her designer’s studio with the caption, “Now have my dream dress with me. Thank you @lihihod!!! J will send you tons of photos after the big day J #sosbolz”
The couple has been tight-lipped about details on their big day, preferring to have a private affair with close friends and family, but Solenn assured her fans that she will share more details after the ceremony.
For the time being, Solenn keeps herself busy with the lifestyle show she co-hosts with Iya Villania, Taste Buddies, which airs on GMA’s flagship international channel GMA Pinoy TV.
She is also set to appear on the locally adapted GMA show, Lip Sync Battle Philippines, this April where she goes against close friend and fellow Kapuso star Lovi Poe in an epic lip sync showdown. (30)
Kapuso star Solenn Heussaff certainly has quite a few talents in her arsenal. Aside from her television stints, she is also a singer and a painter.
This 2016, Solenn is set to showcase her artistic mettle as her plans for an art exhibit have finally come to fruition.
After three years of preparations, the show titled “Our People” is composed of 25 life-size paintings, as well as other art forms such as furniture, clothes and pottery, which will be unveiled to the public.
Solenn’s passion for art started when she was only three years old but the actress has never had any formal lessons. Over the years, she has painted a variety of subjects ranging from landscapes to abstracts and murals.
These days, Solenn has been gaining as much recognition for her artistic endeavors on canvas as with her talents on screen.
It is indeed a busy year for the Kapuso star who continues to host the GMA lifestyle show Taste Buddies with Iya Villania, which airs worldwide on GMA Life TV. Most recently, she also headlined a series of GMA Pinoy TV shows held in four countries in Europe, namely, the United Kingdom, Italy, France and Denmark, last February.

Solenn Marie Adea Heusaff- (born on July 20, 1985) is a Filipina-French VJ, actress, TV host, model, singer, fashion designer, painter, and professional make-up artist. She was one of the official castaways of Survivor Philippines: Celebrity Showdown which aired from August 30 to December 3, 2010 on GMA Network. She made it to the Final Three. In December 2010, she signed a recording contract with MCA Universal Philippines, a movie contract with Regal Entertainment, and a television contract with GMA Network and GMA Artist Center.
Solenn Heussaff is the second child of Cynthia Adea, a Filipina, and Louis Paul Heussaff, a former French Marine of Breton descent, who is now the head of a service company SOS, for the petroleum industry. She has an older sister named Vanessa and a younger brother named Erwan.
After graduating from Eurocampus (now European International School), Heussaff went on to study fashion design in Studio Berçot, Paris for three years. She also took a 6-month course in basic beauty/fashion make-up, body painting and prosthetics at École Fleurimont, Paris. She then proceeded further studies at the Make Up Forever Academy.
Before she entered showbiz, she was an endorser of several products in and outside the country. She is currently endorsing Vitress Hair Solution, Asian Secrets, Argentina, Century Tuna, Greenwich Pasta and Robinsons Land Corporation.
Solenn Heusaff became one of the fan favorites in the reality show Survivor Philippines: Celebrity Showdown. She was also one of the most controversial castaways and even became one of the trending topics on Facebook and other social networking sites during the airing of the show. She ended up being one of the top three finalists alongside Ervic Vijandre and Akihiro Sato. The latter was declared winner.
After Survivor Philippines, GMA Network already had several projects lined up for her. She became one of Richard Gutierrez's leading ladies in the film My Valentine Girls alongside Lovi Poe. In the film, she played the role of Richard's best friend who later became his girlfriend.
She was also chosen as one of the leading ladies of Richard Gutierrez in the telefantasya Captain Barbell, which aired in March 2011. She currently has a makeover show on GMA News TV which also started airing in March 2011. Her role was that of a reporter named "Janna". She had a limited airing time in the show because of other projects such as Temptation Island in which she starred alongside Marian Rivera, Heart Evangelista,Lovi Poe and Rufa Mae Quinto.
Heussaff released her self-titled debut album on July 17, 2011 on Party Pilipinas. She then had her first autograph signing at SM Mall and Astroplus The Block on the same day. She held her first major concert from August 19 to 26, 2011 at Teatrino Promenade, Greenhills.
She released her second album entitled SOS on August 23, 2013. On August 25 after Heussaff performed her latest single, "Diva" featuring Ron Henley from her sophomore album, she was awarded her first platinum award for her self-titled album.
In 2012, Heussaff began dating Nico Bolzico, an Argentine businessman. In December 2014, Heussaff announced her engagement to Bolzico.
