New generation of ‘batang yagit’ captivates audience
A year has passed since the top-rating GMA afternoon series Yagit held its auditions for the new generation of actors to portray the iconic roles of the “batang yagit.”
Because of its timelessness, the viewers of the show have been undeniably hooked with its story since its pilot episode October last year.
They remain to be amazed by the portrayals of Kapuso child stars Chlaui Malayao, Jemwell Ventinilla, Judie Dela Cruz, and Zymic Jaramilla. May it be the ratings game or the social media trends, Yagit remains to be on top the charts, and still holds the title of being one of the favorite afternoon prime series of GMA.
And since Yagit is due to end this July, Yasmien Kurdi, who plays the role of Dolores, expresses her gratitude for its success. “Masayang-masaya po kami sa narating ng Yagit lalo na at nagtagal ito sa ere ng higit sa aming inaasahan. Maging bahagi lamang po ng isang palabas na talaga namang tumatak sa manonood ay isang malaking karangalan. Higit sa lahat ay masaya ako dahil talaga namang sinubaybayan, iniyakan, at minahal ito ng mga manonood,” reveals the Kapuso actress.
It is better to keep following the top-rating series for the revelations and fabricated truths are yet to unfold. Will Dolores’ family find each other and become whole again? Will the children find their way back in each other’s company despite Izel’s (Bettinna Carlos) evil plans?
Tune in to Yagit from Monday to Friday on GMA’s flagship international channel, GMA Pinoy TV. (30)
