OSCAR® NOMINEES TO BE HONORED AT ACADEMY LUNCHEON
LOS ANGELES, CA —More than 150 Oscar nominees, along with 87th Oscars® host Neil Patrick Harris, will come together at noon on Monday, February 2, at the Beverly Hilton when the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences honors this year’s Oscar contenders at its annual Nominees Luncheon.
Among the Lead Actor and Actress nominees, Steve Carell, Bradley Cooper, Marion Cotillard, Felicity Jones, Michael Keaton, Julianne Moore, Rosamund Pike, Eddie Redmayne and Reese Witherspoon are expected to attend the pre-Oscars event. LOS ANGELES, CA – Actors Margot Robbie and Miles Teller will host the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Scientific and Technical Awards Presentation on Saturday, February 7, at the Beverly Wilshire in Beverly Hills. They will present 21 awards to 58 individual recipients during the evening.
“We’re very excited to have Margot and Miles hosting this year’s Sci-Tech Awards,” said Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs. “Both are fresh voices in our industry and will be a welcome addition to the night where we honor our colleagues’ technical achievements.”
"Margot and Miles represent some of the best of the next generation of rising stars and it is only fitting that they host an evening saluting the film innovations and innovators who will inform the future,” said Oscar producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron.
Robbie gave a breakout performance in the Oscar®-nominated feature “The Wolf of Wall Street” in 2013. Her most recent credits include starring roles in “Z for Zachariah” and “Focus,” which is due out next month. In the summer of 2016, Robbie will be seen starring in “Tarzan” and the highly anticipated “Suicide Squad.”
Teller stars in the current Best Picture nominee “Whiplash.” Later this year, he will appear in the feature “Bleed for This,” as well as “The Fantastic Four” and “Insurgent,” the sequel to “Divergent.” Teller also appeared in the 2013 film “The Spectacular Now.”

LOS ANGELES, CA – The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences launches in February a new screening series, Return to Oz: Costuming the Big Adventures of 1985, and continues the series Two Sides of a Costume Designer, both in conjunction with the landmark Hollywood Costume exhibition now on view. All screenings will be held at the Bing Theater in Los Angeles.

As rapidly advancing visual effects technology became a key driver of fantasy-adventure films of the 1980s, imaginative costume designs played a more subtle but equally important role in their creative and commercial success. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of a memorable year in American popular filmmaking, the Academy presents two fantasy-adventure double features spotlighting costumes designers Richard La Motte (“The Goonies”),Aggie Guerard Rodgers (“Pee-wee’s Big Adventure”), Deborah L. Scott (“Back to the Future”) and Raymond Hughes (“Return to Oz”).

The Academy’s Saturday evening series continues with three pairings of impressive and varied achievements by costume designers working in multiple genres.
