Steering the night with a spectacular celebration steeped with fun and laughter is Pambansang Bae Alden Richards as he takes centerstage with his own musical performances.
Joining him are Kapuso heartthrobs Mark Herras, Benjamin Alves, Rocco Nacino, Miguel Tanfelix, Jak Roberto, Jeric Gonzales, Addy Raj, Matthias Rhoads, Juancho Trivino, Jason Abalos and Migo Adecer in their mix macho and boy next-door performance.
GMA wins top honors at PMPC Star Awards for TV
Home to the country’s top entertainment as well as news and public affairs programs, GMA Network once again proved its excellence after winning numerous awards in the 2017 Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) Star Awards for Television held last November 12, at the Henry Lee Irwin Theater, Ateneo de Manila University.
Primetime King Dingdong Dantes and multi-talented actor Ruru Madridtied for the Best Drama Actor award. Dingdong won for “Alyas Robin Hood “ while Ruru won for “Encantadia”. The first season of “Alyas Robin Hood”, in turn, won as Best Primetime Drama Series.
Winning the Best Single Performance by an Actor was Pambansang BaeAlden Richards for his remarkable performance in Eat Bulaga’s Lenten Special entitled “Kapatid”.
GMA’s breakthrough comedy-musical variety show “Sunday PinaSaya”was hailed as Best Variety Show, while one of its hosts, Primetime QueenMarian Rivera-Dantes, bagged the Best Female TV Host award.
GMA Network congratulates Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 Winwyn Marquez
Teresita Ssen “Winwyn” Marquez marks another milestone in pageant history as she bagged Philippines’ first-ever Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 crown last Saturday, November 4 in Sta. Cruz, Bolivia.
The Kapuso actress is the first Filipina and Asian delegate to compete in the said annual pageant that celebrates Hispanic heritage, language and culture.
Winwyn started her career in GMA. She hosted Candies, a lifestyle program which was aired on QTV Channel 11.

GMA Network opens the month of June with the remake of the successful TV series, Impostora, on GMA Pinoy TV.
Impostora is the first GMA-produced TV drama adapted abroad. It first aired in Malaysia in 2007. In 2013, the series was adapted by Cambodia Broadcasting Service (CTN) using the title "Impostors".
Aside from Malaysia and Cambodia, it was also sold in other territories namely Hawaii, Singapore, Myanmar, Brunei, Ghana, Tanzania, Kenya, Zambia, Korea, US, Romania and the Philippines (Fox Philippines). It is currently airing in Hawaii via Kiku TV.

GMA drama series Hanggang Makita Kang Muli recently premiered in Peru making it the first Kapuso drama to air in Latin America. Acquired by PanAmericana Television SA, the GMA Afternoon Prime series went well on its pilot week with ratings almost twice of the program it replaced.
Meanwhile, GMA Worldwide Inc. (GWI) Vice President Roxanne J. Barcelona is glad to learn about Peru’s warm reception of the program. “We are proud and happy that the canned version of Hanggang Makita Kang Muli is enjoying a successful run on free TV in Peru. This is a first for GMA in Latin America,” she said.

On February 20, GMA Network debuts its newest gripping series, Legally Blind. Its premise sheds light on relatable matters that are true to life particularly about women who are victims of rape, the effects drug abuse, pressures and rivalries within a household, but more importantly on unconditional love that binds families together and the indisputable resiliency of Filipinos amidst life’s challenges.
The story revolves around the life of Grace Evangelista (Janine Gutierrez), a beautiful, hardworking, and responsible law student who eventually passes the board exam with flying colours. In a dreadful turn of events, she becomes a rape victim of an unknown culprit, scarring her forever when the distress and trauma causes her to lose her sense of sight. In spite of everything, she pursues her passion for law and eventually becomes a blind lawyer.
Dingdong Dantes to host GMA Network’s crime documentary drama Case Solved
This February, GMA Network introduces its newest procedural crime documentary drama program CaseSolved.
The show aims to deliver awareness and public information to the viewers in order to prevent crime.
Case Solved features sensational and controversial real-life cases ranging from non-aggressive to violent circumstances derived from Philippines’ Supreme Court Reports Annotated (SCRA) handled by the country’s National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Philippine National Police (PNP), International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol), judicial agencies like the Department of Justice (DOJ), Supreme Court and Bureau of Corrections. Dennis Trillo flies to US and Europe before returning to primetime
Kapuso Drama King Dennis Trillo, who will soon return to the small screen via the upcoming telefantasya Mulawin vs Ravena, says he’ll be spending a few days abroad before starting on his new show.
In an interview with GMA News, Dennis said that he is preparing for GMA Pinoy TV’s Sikat Ka, Kapuso! Concert which is set to happen on January 22 at the Terrace Theater in Long Beach, California. Joining him are Dennis’ rumored sweetheart Jennylyn Mercado, as well as Alden Richards, Lovi Poe, Tom Rodriguez, and Betong Sumaya.
