Max Collins touches Pinoys’ hearts at the “13th Annual Adobo Festival 2018”

Multi-talented actress Max Collins served up fun and all-around entertainment to Kapuso abroad at the recently concluded “13th Annual Adobo Festival 2018” in the US via GMA Pinoy TV.

After more than seven years, Max was finally able to visit her home state, California, and kick off her birthday month at the festival held last August 5 at 101 N. Main Street, Milpitas.

During the event, Max performed a series of song numbers and showcased her smooth moves in a dance showdown with Philippine Consul General to San Francisco, Henry S. Bensurto, Jr. She also played on-stage games with some volunteers from the crowd which livened up the show even more.

Serving as an early birthday treat, the Kapuso actress was surprised by the event organizers with a birthday cake. Max gladly held a meet-and-greet with her fans in the crowd right after the show. Her family and friends from California also came to support her.

Prior to the festival, Max paid a courtesy visit to the office of Daly City Mayor Juslyn C. Manalo where she was generously given a certificate of appreciation and the pin of Daly City, which is only given to VIPs. The actress also guested at the online radio station Fil-am Radio during DJ Poca Rafael’s program.

Before she went back to Manila, Max received a heart-warming e-message from one of her fans present during the festival. “Thank you for taking time to come to our little city in this great big world. Thank you for telling my wife ‘I know you, you were the one singing with me.’ It’s so easy to forget a face when you’re in a crowd of many. But you remembered her. No greater love than this, God will surely bless you,” said Joseph Villareal on behalf of his family.

Through a social media post, Max expressed her gratefulness to her kababayanswho warmly welcomed her. “I was welcomed so graciously by the county of Milpitas and my fellow kababayans. Not only did they take the time to visit the #AdoboFestival, I appreciate how they sang along with me, danced with me, were game to play my quirky games, and how they fell in line in the heat just to take a photo with me. They even gifted me with sweet souvenirs. Never did I ever think I would meet the Mayor of Daly City or the County Supervisor of San Mateo—let alone receive certificates of appreciation from them. Thank you Northern California, my heart is full,” she said.
