Your History degree programme

Our programmes are made up of modules - these are units which focus on a key area of study. Each module has a credit value, and all undergraduate students complete 120 credits per year - usually 60 credits per semester. 

Single honours History students will take at least 80 credits in History, including our core modules HST120 and HST112, and may choose either History modules or modules from another department for the remaining 40 credits.

Dual students will take at least 40 credits in History, including the core module HST120, and may choose either a History module or module(s) from another department for the remaining 20 credits. Are you studying a non-History degree, but interested in taking one of our modules? You can do this, as long as your degree regulations permit one or more "guided" modules. You can choose from the list below.
