For this assignment, we were instructed to take two photographs. One being a portrait, and the other a landscape or another object. I decided to take a portrait shot of my friend and classmate, Cristina. Then, using the angle down technique, I took a photo of the Freeport Maine coastline. During the taking of this photo, I stood on a dock, looking down at the subject. For the portrait shot, I used the light room to make the photo more dramatic. After I prepared the photos for editing, I put them in photoshop. By combining these two photos, putting one on top of the other, I completed the effect of the overlay. By turning down the opacity on the portrait, the landscape showed through in the shape of Cristina's face. Then, I carefully erased the back round in the portrait, so that it was just the silhouette. All in all, I found this project, challenging, yet fun. Also, I am very satisfied with the outcome of my portrait transformation.
