Linear Perspective

Objects in One Point Perspective

Room in One Point Perspective

Hallway Drawing

For this linear perspective assignment, we were instructed to complete 3 different projects that would fall under the category of linear perspective. For all of them, I picked a vanishing point at eye level and made all objects connect to that point, making the image(s) look more realistic and 3-d. The first image I only drew shapes, the second one I drew a hallway at the high school, and in the third drawing a got to make up a room of my own. On all of the drawings, I used a pencil and a ruler to ensure that all of the lines matched up with the vanishing point. I chose that specific hallway in the school because I thought it was very interesting with all of the lockers and bricks. It also had a lot of lines on the wall in doors and papers hanging on the wall which caught my eye when searching for a place to draw. Elements I used include line, shape, color, form, and space. Maybe next time I could use more texture in my drawing to better enhance it. I changed my hallway drawing because at first, I forgot to separate the lockers to make sure that the width varies depending on how close it is to the vanishing point. In these pieces of artwork, I am most proud of the bricks in the hallway and all of the detail in hallway and room drawing. I struggled with the floor tiles in the hallway because I was confused on where the horizontal lines would cross the vertical lines. I also struggle with the door handles. If I could make this piece stronger, I would definitely focus more on the door knobs. I would make them more 3-d and more realistic.
