If something breaks or is not working in the gym, it can be hard to know who to ask for help or where to go! We've tried to make it as easy as possible by breaking it down into two different requests: an equipment repair or maintenance request.
We have repairs stickers on all of our machines throughout the gym! as we are 24/7 we cant alwasy note when something breaks. By adding these stickers to out clubs it allows out members to have the opportunity to let us know when something is broken or needs servicing.
Because members are the ones noting this it is curtial that out repairs get resolved and members get responded to within 24-48 hours after putting the repair request through. Below you will find some scripts you can email / sms to the member once they have put the form though.
The process:
The member will put the repair form through
The form will go to Sammi / Af repairs
Sammi / af repairs will then respond and send the actions on how to fix the repair to the club email.
You will then action the repair, but also contact the member to thank them for filling out the form and to give an update on the status of the repair.
What is the difference?
When making an equipment repair request, this means that one of the pieces of gym equipment (life fitness, hammer strength, etc.) have either broken or needs to be maintained/tightened.
e.g.
One of the cables on the cable machine has snapped.
The smith machine is making a loud clanging noise.
The monitor for one of the spin bikes won't switch on.
Upholstery on a piece of equipment has worn through.
When making a maintenance request, a club amenity has broken or malfunctioned preventing a smooth operating of the gym.
e.g.
The toilet/sink has clogged.
A wall needs painting.
Bathroom lock has broken.
The roof is leaking.
Step By Step process for submitting a repair/maintenance form:
Take notice of equipment repair or maintenance that needs to be done and fill out the appropriate form.
Natasha will either approve or disapprove the request and send the contact of the person or company that will be doing the repair if necessary.
Staff will then follow up with the appropriate contact to complete the repair.
Staff then need to update the Google form in the tabs 'status' and 'notes' on the google form - please add detailed notes.
