What is a club Audit?
Each month Your Area Manager will conduct an audit at each site to ensure everything in club is in working order and running the way it should be. You will be marked on a range of different tasks eg. general cleanliness, cleaning products + vending fully stocked, all equipment is in working order, emails have been responded to correctly using the scripts below etc. The list may seem a bit overwhelming at first glance! But these are all things that should be completed/ followed daily to ensure your club is in tip top condition.
the pass mark is now 95% for all audits. The audit is also an awesome way for the manager to get some extra commission! Commissions for 95% is $100 and if you get a 100% pass mark you will get $200!! This allows you to have two non passes marks per audit in order to get the $100 commission. If you have an ACM then it needs to be shared between the ACM and the CM. 50% each.
You will be notified when the audits will be conducted so you can double check that everything is in order and have the very best chance at passing.
Audit Checklist!
In your asana we should have a task saying audit checklist at least once a week. The best way to do this is to print off the audit checklist attached at the top of this page and walk around your club as if you are the one doing the audit. If you keep this up every week there is no reason why your club shouldn't be scoring 100% each and every month!
What needs to be done to pass the audit?
Is your AF safety Navigator score at level 1?

Was the Entry door clean and clear of Webs or Smudges; This should be on your cleaning checklist for your cleaner to complete daily.
Was the front door unlocked? Member entry doors should be unlocked at the start of every shift
Are the external Windows Clean and Clear of Spider Webs? Again this should be on your cleaners checklist
Is the Carpark Clean and clear of rubbish? At the start of every shift, ensure you are picking up any rubbish surrounding the gym.
Are the Staff cars parked away from the gym? Staff cars must be parked away from the gym to leave the most convenient parks for our members.
Are the (all) staff in matching uniforms? Staff are to wear black pants/ leggings with no large brand logos visible, black AF polo and AF hoodie or zip up jacket.
Is there any evidence of AF Workouts? A poster should always be displayed in club on how to download our workouts app.
Is the Chalkboard current with the months promotion? For those of us who have chalkboards, they need to be updated every month with the current promotion and anything else exciting happening for that month.
Is the music at an acceptable level? Music must be at an acceptable level for both members and guests.
Did the Manger know what "todays goals are"? Each morning the manager should break down the targets for today, how many prospects + sales do we need to to hit our WSLL targets. Eg. We have 3 days left of the month but we still need to collect 18 prospects and make 6 sales. Our targets for the day would be;
Prospects; 6
Sales; 3
Did the Membership Consultant know what "todays goals are"? The manager should be informing the MC's at the beginning of each shift what our targets are for the day to ensure we stay on track.
Are the Fire Exits Clear of any obstacles? Fire exits must be clear at all times in case of emergency. Make sure you are clearing all exits in your daily gym resets.
Is the Vending Machine fully stocked with no empty slots?
Is the water in the Vending Machine fully stocked? Water should always be available in the vending machine in case members do not wish to use the bubbler.
Is the Vending Machine Dust and Smudge Free? Cleaners should be doing this daily.
Are the mirrors clean and smudge free? Mirrors should be cleaned regularly and are smudge free.
Is the upholstery in good condition? All upholstery should be in good condition, no more than two machines should have cracks or rips in them to to pass audit. If you do have upholstery that needs replacing you will need to fill out a repairs form to send to Charlene.
Is all the equipment in working order? Same as above, as soon as you notice a piece of equipment isn't in working order, a repairs form should be filled out and sent to Charlene so maintenance can be arranged.
Is functional equipment in its place (inc fit balls inflated); Ensure all yoga balls + leg raise ball are inflated as they should be.
Are the cardio machines showing the correct promotional offer? Cardio screens need to be showing the correct promotional material that is currently on offer.
Are all the bathrooms in working order? Are all toilet seats, doors, sinks, soap dispensers, shower heads in working order. Any issue's fill out a repairs for for Charlene.
Are bathrooms vents clear of any dust? Make sure your bathrooms vetnsh ave been vaccumed and dont have any dust build up.
Are all the bathrooms fully stocked with toilet paper? All toilet roll dispensers need to be full stocked on both sides, if any a running low they will need to be replaced.
Are the toilets clean? This includes the toilet seat, toilet rim and base of the toilet itself.
Are the Showers Clean? This includes checking the tiles for any signs of mould and soap sum.
Are the fans dust free and in working order? Check and clean fans for dust build up and log any broken fans with a maintenance request.
Is the air con set at 21 degrees? Your air con needs to be set at 21 degrees at all times unless on timers or controlled by a centre management.
Is the Managers Office clean and clear of clutter? All paperwork should be entered into the system and filed away, no clutter on the desk or cubbies.
Are your cubbies clean with no rubbish or lost and found? Our cubbies should be clean at all times to stay nice and presentable for our members. there is nothing worse than cubbies that are full of old towels and empty water bottles!
Is all of the cardio clean of sweat marks and dust? This should be completed daily by the cleaner, if not by the staff. There is nothing worse in a gym than cardio equipment covered in sweat and dust.
Is the AF Safety Board clean and clear of dust? This should be on the cleaners check list.
Have the Plants been wiped down and are clean and clear of Dust? Cleaners check list, this should be done weekly to keep on top of it.
Are the paper towel and Spray Bottles at a minimum of 90% filled? Paper towel and spray need to be constantly topped up throughout the day to ensure adequate cleaning supplied are available for the members.
Are the paper dispensing units clean? Clean the outside of the unit and dust the top side of the unit.
Do the clip boards have the guest profile + Referral Sheet + Price Presentation Card together, the Vitals Way;
Is there a clip board with the Telephone Enquiry form ready to use? This should always be available at arms reach in the managers office.
Is the Prospects with No Future Communication list empty? If we don't reschedule a call correctly or forget to follow up on a missed appointment's the prospect will fall into prospects with no future date. This means that they will not appear on our call list until we reschedule them
Is ASANA upto date (no tasks more than 3 days overdue); Our Asana list need to be ticked off daily, we need to be completing all tasks in asana t ensure the gym is running smoothly and everything is up to date.
Was the manager's AM call round completed today? The managers call round should be completed first thing in the morning after the gym reset. It should be started ideally 30 minutes after starting your shift and setting up for the day.
Are emails being replied to with the email scripts provided in the last 3 days; The email scripts are provided for a reason; all emails need to be called beforehand and responded to with a script if they do not answer. If an email is responded to without a script if provided, then you will be failed.
Is the landline and mobile phone voice mail working and has it been checked and cleared? All messages must be checked every day and responded to, voice messages must be cleared and not build up so as new messages can be left.
Is the Personal Trainer Office clean and clear of clutter? Clear out any unwanted clutter and make sure the office is presentable. I would suggest speaking with your PT's about keeping the office clean and tidy as well.
Does Each Personal Trainer have a PT Profile displayed on the gym floor? Club managers, PT's and membership consultants all need to have an up to date profile printed and displayed on the gym floor or in the foyer.
Have all inboxes on Facebook and instagram been responded to? Inboxes and IG dm's must be replied to in a timely manner,
Does everyone know what is being posted today on social media? I would suggest filming all of your content one day per week and scheduling it on digital stack, this way its already done and you dont have to worry about it for the rest of the week!
Is the referral offer displayed in the foyer? Referral offer should be displayed in the foyer on the chalk board, if not displayed in a clear display frame.
Is the referral offer the current offer? Make sure all referral offers are up to date and current, sometimes we have special referral offers for sales, otherwise its generally 2x weeks free.
Is iPad clean and free of fingerprints?
Are EVOLT scans promoted and the next availability of the scanner advertised in club?
Are all posters current including BTB?
Is the Facebook Cover picture current?
Is the instagram bio relevant and current?
