For my final data visualisation project, I chose to work with a data set that showed where we get the food we eat. It also had the change in quantity over the years. The data set had each country and what food it produced.
I wanted to create a visualisation that would allow users to see where their food comes from and how the quantity has changed over the years.
In my visualisation, the data is represented on a map with dots to show which country grows fruit.
To interact with the visualisation, try hovering the mouse over a dot to see the amount of fruit in that country. If you click the year will change and the number will also change.
One interesting thing I noticed during this project is that sorting the data is a lot easier than it was before this project.
Something I still wonder about is how people sort data without google sheets and how long it takes
