For my final data visualization project, I chose to work with a dataset about the environmental impact of different food products, using kg of Carbon Dioxide emitted per kg of the Product itself.
I wanted to create a visualization that would allow users to understand how much Carbon Dioxide is emitted for common foods that they may eat.
In my visualization, the data is represented as pricing for the full product total, including all ingredients used to make it.
To interact with the visualization, try hovering over the item of choice, to see an itemized list of different ingredients in the food.
One interesting thing I noticed during this project is how much beef production costs on the environment, compared to all other meats.
Something I still wonder about is if there are any other ways that Carbon Dioxide is produced that is not shown in the dataset.
