For my final data visualization project, I chose to work with ... endangered and extinct languages.
I wanted to create a visualization that would allow users to ... see what languages are endangered and where they're from.
In my visualization, the data is represented as ... dots on a map, labeled with their languages and shaded by level of endangerment.
To interact with the visualization, try ... to hover over or click a dot to see what language it represents.
One interesting thing I noticed during this project is ... in some parts of countries, there's a high concentration of dots, whereas in other areas there's no dots at all.
Something I still wonder about is ... why there's such a high density of extinct languages along the west coast, and so few on the east coast.
