For my final data visualization project, I chose to work with a data set about inflation rates around the world and their ranking. The source for this dataset was The CIA World Factbook Country Comparisons.
I wanted to create a visualization that would allow users to go through the years when each country was recorded and compare it to their ranking and inflation value.
In my visualization, the data is represented as dots all across the world, representing countries. The dots are colored based off their inflation ranking, red being the worst rate and blue being the best.
To interact with the visualization, try clicking the mouse to go through the years, pictured at the bottom left. Hover over the dots to see the information in the top right.
One interesting thing I noticed during this project is there isnt a specific continent or area where the inflation rates are much higher, it is spread out.
Something I still wonder about is how inflation affects different countries in different ways.
