For my final data visualization project, I chose to work with a dataset from ourworldindata.org that provided information about different foods and how they contribute to carbon emissions
I wanted to create a visualization that would allow users to see how things like transportation, retail, property use, etc. contribute to how much carbon is released into the environment.
In my visualization, the data is represented as circles that turn into pie charts.
To interact with the visualization, try hovering over the different circles to see the different contributors to carbon emissions from each food group.
One interesting thing I noticed during this project is that nuts only have two contributors: processing and transport.
Something I still wonder about is how is the emission measured? How do we know how each thing contributes?
