This building housed the modest beginnings of the Woodward Governor Company, located in Rockford. By the end of the twentieth century, Woodward's buildings cast shadows on three continents.
This Woodward Governor plant in Rockton, IL, fit with the company's concept of an attractive exterior coupled with an efficient interior work station design. Sjostrom & Sons, Inc. has built many of the Woodward plants.
Woodward's most recent plant, was built by Ringland Johnson Construction Company. The $200 million, 300,000-square-foot, new manufacturing campus, sits on over 60 acres in Loves Park, IL.
