On This Day

August 16, 1960, the cornerstone was laid for the new Boylan Central Catholic High School.

Boylan was designed by Hubbard and Hyland and constructed by Scandroli Construction Company. The 2.5 million dollar project featured a brick exterior, 175,000 square feet of floor space, a 3,000 seat gym for athletic events, an 800 seat auditorium, a 500 seat cafeteria and a chapel. Since 1960, there have been several additions, which Scandroli Construction Company has acted as the general contractor for the great preponderance of work done at the campus.
