LE sports kicked of the 23-24 campaign with 6th grade volleyball and football at Bannon Creek! Our sports program should bring home a few championships this year.
Thank you Mrs. Novello and the Art Club for representing Leading Edge at Chalk it Up! Our students did an awesome job recreating this year's theme and logo, Knights, Unite!
Our ASB elections were held this week! Students ran for ASB homeroom representative. From their, they are able run for officer positions.

Details: Welcome to our first spirit week of the year! All students are welcome to dress up and enjoy the festivities. Spirit week is a big deal here at NCS! Students will still adhere to the dress expectations during Spirit Week.

Details: As part of our commitment to providing the best educational experiences for our students, we continue to rebuild our field lesson programs and ensure teachers and student are getting the supplies they need. Please see our new Donations and Field Lessons pages as we work to provide more clarity and resources around financial donations for field trips, supplies, and specialty classes.
Details: We had an increase in Fee Waivers for our Yosemite trip. As a result we decided to do a little fundraising! We have signed up with Snap Raise, which is a very easy platform to cover the cost of your student's trip. Head over to our donations page to sign up today!

Details: LEAP will be supporting events with hospitality all year. So please pitch in by donating some water or snacks. Our goal is to ensure people are feeling welcome at Math and Science Curriculum Night.
The social emotional counselors, Ms. Belcastro-Bisbikis and Mr. Williams, will be recognizing National Suicide Prevention Week during the week of September 11th-15th. Your student will receive a daily email with information and resources on the topic. It is vital that we provide our students with information and resources about suicide prevention. For middle and high school age youth (ages 12-18), suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death. For college age youth (ages 18-22), suicide is the 3rd leading cause of death. Over-all, suicide is the 3rd leading cause of death for our youth ages 10-24, according to the CDC.
The NCS Parents United (formerly English Learner Advisory Committee ELAC) invites you to join us on Tuesday, September 19th from 6:00-7:00.

Test kits are available in the front office on each campus. All of our latest COVID-19 information is on our website on the Coronavirus Response Information page. Please contact your healthcare provider if you have further questions or concerns. You may also reach out to your academy principal and our front office staff. All student COVID absences may be reported through the PowerSchool Parent Portal.
