Thank you to our 7th grade team, Mrs. Studebaker, and Mrs. Mattsson-Boze for organizing a wonderful trip for our students. Students and chaperones braved the rain and had and awesome time!
Mrs. Novello's students continued to knit blankets for disadvantaged children. Mr. Lang launched a new unit about immigration with a fun game, "where does this food come from?". Mrs. Bibayoff kept the ancient artifacts flowing with a paper mache urn project. And Mr. Guzman provided hands on math experiences!

Details: Trimester 2 is over. Thank you for all the support at home. Our students had a successful trimester with behavior, attendance, and academic excellence. This is in large part due to the work you do at home! We improved out attendance by a big margin and this is having a positive impact on academic success. Next week, we will measure student growth in reading and math with iReady Diagnostic #3. We look forward to sharing the results.
Dates: March 6 - March 10

Why iReady: iReady is an important part of our program. Students take three "diagnostic" assessments throughout the year to measure their growth in reading and math. Teachers use that data to inform instruction. iReady also sets the students up on a personalized learning path (My Path) that they can use in school or at home. If your student needs extra practice, My Path is a resource we encourage you to use.
Reward: Students that show growth in both reading and math or test at or above grade level will receive a popcorn party.
Dates: March 6 and March 8
Time: 3:30 - 5:00 PM
Details: Our boys volleyball camp continues next week in the gym. Natomas is looking to start a boys league and we are building skill and interest in this awesome sport. All are welcome.
The Overcome Project is bringing a free physical fitness program to the Sacramento area in April. Their goal is to use the fitness community to inspire these youth to a higher level of achievement academically and socially. Check out The Overcome Project flyer for more information.
