Overview: As we enter Trimester 3, parents should keep in mind key elements. Eighth graders will focus on their portfolio presentations, and all students will undergo CAASPP testing. Year-end trips are scheduled as a reward for hard work. It's crucial to understand that students who do not meet academic expectations may not be eligible to participate in these culminating year-end trips or activities.
Overview: At Leading Edge, we practice two safety drills a month. Our goal is to ensure that our students and staff are confident and prepared. We have one evacuation drill a month accompanied by specialized drills like lockdown and earthquake drills. Check out the spring drills link for more information about them.
From Mrs. Novello: I am seeking knitting volunteers to help my 7- 8th graders learn how to knit! Each year we knit 20-30 blankets for the non profit organization Sacramento Blankets for Sacramento Kids- and we cannot do that without the help of volunteers to help get my students started on the right track! If you are interested, or if you know of someone who may be interested in volunteering, please click this link to sign up, or forward this email. In a couple of weeks I will send up a Sign Up Genius with shift times for specific dates to sign up!
