November 1st marks the start of the application season at Natomas Charter School. Applications received by January 10, 2025 at 4:00pm will be included in this year’s lottery. On average we receive over 1700 applications for approximately 400 openings, so getting your application in on-time before the lottery is extremely important. If you have a Star Academy 5th grader, PACT 8th grader, or Leading Edge 8th grader you need to apply for one of our middle or high school programs to continue at NCS. PFAA 8th grade students automatically continue on to PFAA high school. All of our application information can be found online at https://www.natomascharter.org/app
The lobby of the Benvenuti Performing Arts Center on the Blackrock campus will be a Sacramento County Vote Center this Saturday through Election Day. There will likely be additional traffic on campus in front of the theater on Monday and Tuesday. We appreciate families taking a moment to review the Election Season update that was sent out this week and making time this weekend to speak with your students about the importance of ensuring we continue to be a place where All Are Welcome.
Each year the California Department of Education ranks charter schools based on their California School Dashboard results. NCS continues to be ranked as a high performing charter school due to our strong academic performance in English Language Arts, Mathematics, College/Career Readiness, and English-Learner performance. Our school exceeds statewide metrics in each of these areas for the school as a whole and our student subgroups. We know this is due to the strong partnerships between educators, families, and students for ensuring every student is both challenged and supported. Thank you for being a part of our team!
